PMC Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Can a Plan start an EACA mid-year but just not have the 6-month ADP/ACP excess rule applied for the short year but still have the permissible withdrawal rule applied for that year?
QNPG Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Can a Plan start an EACA mid-year but just not have the 6-month ADP/ACP excess rule applied for the short year but still have the permissible withdrawal rule applied for that year? I think the answer is yes only if you have a new plan for that year where the 401k feature starts on the same date. Not sure about the 6-month ADP/ACP extention.
