stormoj1 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 For Lump Sum distributions to residents of Michigan is the MI W4-P required, and is state withholding required based on how the MI W4-P is completed? Is the mandatory withholding only for monthly Pension and Annuity payments?

However, see page 4 of the 2011 Michigan Income Tax Withholding Guide for instructions on voluntary withholding: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/taxes/44...AL_336590_7.pdf I'm a retirement actuary.
