austin3515 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 So you know how plan dopcuments have the area where the TPA can sign, authorizing uyse of the prototype? What does it mean if everyone but the TPA signed where they were supposed to. This was an occurence of the adoption agreement being emailed. Is it a problem? It says write in the language that we have that "Such acknowledgment is for administerial purposes only". Certainly it's not a compliance issue, correct? Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA
ETA Consulting LLC Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Correct. When it requires a sponsor to sign, then that is needed for reliance on the opinion letter. When it's stated "For Administrative Purposes Only", it's merely a power of suggestion to ensure the document gets in the hands of the TPA. It's not a compliance issue. Good Luck!
