MarZDoates Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Does anyone know where I can find some sample language to "disengage" from a client who consistently won't provide requested information or make plan corrections based on our recommendations? Thanks. QPA, QKA
Bird Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Does anyone know where I can find some sample language to "disengage" from a client who consistently won't provide requested information or make plan corrections based on our recommendations? Thanks. [discussion of specific problems] With all due respect, there is a clear pattern of late, missing and incorrect information. Therefore, effective immediately, we are resigning as your pension service provider. You are an idiot and a jerk.* [More discussion of suggestions - in this case, some of the problems were due to distribution and withholding problems b/c they were using a pooled account, and I suggested they go to a turn-key provider who would handle that stuff in their system.] Our sincere best wishes to you and your business. *Just kidding on this! But I thought it... Ed Snyder

Belgarath Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Unfortunately, your consistent failure to (provide us with complete, timely, and accurate data; implement our recommendations, etc. etc...) makes it impossible for us to perform administrative services in an appropriate manner. Therefore, we are exercising our right under our (Administrative Services Contract, Engagement Agreement, whatever...) to terminate our services for the Plan Year beginning 1/1/2012. As per our (Contract, Engagement Agreement, whatever) enclosed is a bill for $$$ for (services performed to date for the Plan Year beginning 1/1/2012, outstanding fees, etc. )Any further services such as data transfer, document requests, etc., will be quoted upon request, and subject to full advance payment. It was a pleasure to be of service to you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Jean Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I might take another path and in the letter simply state that per section/paragraph of your agreement you have decided to give x days notice that you will no longer provide administrative services starting on a certain date. I would not state in the letter the reason you came to this decision, let that be a telephone conversation.
