30Rock Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Is an SAR required for a plan that has merged into another plan? Thanks!
mming Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I would imagine that an SAR (possibly 2, if the merger happened mid-plan year or if the plan year is different after the merger) is required. In other words, a participant should receive SAR info at least every 12 months and there shouldn't be any gaps in the data from the time they received their last SAR, even if more than one plan administrator has to provide it.
