Guest Bizitchie Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Is it possible for a Trustee or Custodian to pay household expenses directly to the billers and code it as a taxable distribution to the IRA owner?
Lou S. Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Some IRA's allow check writing and ACH payments from the account so yes it is possible. You would need to check with your IRA custodian to see if they can accommodated it. Some IRA's require you to be 59 1/2 to have check writing ability.
ESOP Guy Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I think I once even saw an IRA company that had a debit card linked to the IRA. So every purchase can be a taxable event also! Lou S. 1
