Guest Crystal Posted December 17, 1999 Posted December 17, 1999 Can anyone suggest a good tickler program? Could be network or single-user. We had one but it was dos-based and wasn't y2k compliant. Thanks!
Greg Judd Posted December 17, 1999 Posted December 17, 1999 Are you referring to a feature in some sales force automation (SFA) applications that would allow scheduling of prospect/client phone calls, letters, etc? Scores of sales mgmt apps have such features. Here's one of many sales force automation info sites. Please don't take this as an endorsement; I visited the page & noted it offers downloads of eval copies of a number of well-known SFA apps.
Guest Crystal Posted December 17, 1999 Posted December 17, 1999 Thanks, Greg! I'm looking for a way to help us remember to start planning census request, etc. for pye other than 12/31. Fiscal year ends are harder to stay on top of and being able to give ourselves automatic reminders would be a plus. Thx again!
Lorraine Dorsa Posted January 5, 2000 Posted January 5, 2000 We've had to build our own case tracking system (we've done it on Access) because we could not find a commercial one which would work for us. The major problems I found with the commercial ones I looked at were the inability to roll blocks of plans over to a new year and the level of detail attempting to be tracked (I only want to track big steps in the process, not every little increment of work). If anyone has any information about one which allows tracking of data requested/received, reports sent, 5500/PBGC1s due/sent, I would be interested in knowing about it. ------------------
Bill Presson Posted January 6, 2000 Posted January 6, 2000 We use a product called File in Time. It is primarily designed for CPA's, but is pretty flexible. You can see information on it at www.timevalue.com. William C. Presson, ERPA, QPA, QKA bill.presson@gmail.com C 205.994.4070
Guest mo Posted January 6, 2000 Posted January 6, 2000 ASC has a product called Advanced Management System. It may do more than what you're looking for. You can download demo from http://www.asc-net.com/pr_ams.html.
Guest Crystal Posted January 6, 2000 Posted January 6, 2000 Thanks so much to all of you for sharing your ideas. That's why I love this board so much - everybody is willing to help and I think our industry is one of the few where you see that happen.
Guest tjmartens Posted January 15, 2000 Posted January 15, 2000 Our firm currently utilizes AMS as well. It is a great program for database info, form letters, contacts and reports. However, I am not familiar with a tickler or calendar feature within AMS. How does this work?
stephen Posted January 22, 2000 Posted January 22, 2000 I am interested in getting information/ideas regarding semi-annual or quarterly reviews. In the past we have done employee reviews on an as needed basis with no real form (it's a small company). I would like to get samples of employee review worksheets.
