Safeharbor29 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Can a participant rollover funds from a 403(b)(7) into a 401(k)? Any other helpful information on 403(b)(7) would be appreciated!
Lou S. Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Does the IRS rollover chart help or is this a specific exception I'm not taking into account? http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/rollover_chart.pdf Mind you this is just what the IRS allows, Plan's don't have to accept rollovers or can limit the types of Plans they will accept rollovers from.
mbozek Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Yes. A 403(b)(7) is a mutual fund invested under a 403b annuity plan. There is universal rollover availability between 403b plans and qualified plans. Benefits under a 403b plan can be rolled to an IRA and then to a qualified plan other than any after tax contributions held in the IRA. mjb
