jim241 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 If a defined benefit plan is terminating and it has an Early Retirement Age of a certain age plus a number of years, do they have to continue to count years of service after the termination date to determine when someone is eligible for an early retirement benefit?
My 2 cents Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I am not a lawyer but... Without any doubt! And provide any subsidized early retirement benefit accordingly. Any purchased deferred annuities must so provide. Always check with your actuary first!
