Guest Stacey L Miller Posted April 17, 2000 Posted April 17, 2000 We currently use Quantech on a balance forward basis. We are looking into acquiring daily valuation capability. How are you all receiving your daily valuation information? Do you use software provided by your administrative package provider? Has anyone explored trying to download fund/stock values in any other way? For example, some investment companies offer download services. Any insights you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Guest Posted April 18, 2000 Posted April 18, 2000 Stacey, Quantech has an investment download feature that you can setup quite easily. There is a setup fee and then a minimal annual fee to use the service. It is setup through the DTN Pricing network. You might want to contact Marlene Stein at Corbel..she handles adding new modules and such for existing Corbel clients. If you are moving to daily processing you should really look at using a trading platform (such as Schwab, Fidelity, First Trust, Mid-Atlantic, Columbus Circle Trust, etc.)for handling all your trading and pricing. If you use one of these platforms they provide prices to you as a part of their nightly download files. I specialize in helping firms to move to daily processing from balance forward. I'd be happy to talk with you further about your issues. ------------------ Carol J. Ringwald Senior Vice President Shawmut Consulting Assoc.
