Guest Posted July 17, 2000 Posted July 17, 2000 Company A sponsors a grandfathered SARSEP using the mutual fund company's prototype. It wants to move the the assets to another mutual fund company, but the new company does not maintain a prototype (understandably). Any suggestions? Could Company A switch to the government form? Thanks
Gary Lesser Posted August 29, 2000 Posted August 29, 2000 An employer can not move existing assets, they belong solely to the participants. With new documentation, however, future contributions could be placed with a new entity, provided, of course, that the participants establish SEP/SARSEP-IRAs with that entity.
