Choosing Other TPA or setup a Backroom Team

I am relatively new. But what is the better option for a TPA when they are overloading with work?

1.       Choose other TPA for their workload support.

2.       Setup a backroom team in other part of the world (like India, Philippine, etc).

There is many thing related I know but, I want to know in general.

I doubt hiring another TPA is either feasible or possible.  Lots of TPAs are loaded up what with Post PPA restatements and now testing season upon us. (I got 5 censuses myself over the holiday weekend!)  And why would you want to share you (partial) cleint list with a competitor?

Quite simply, cost.  However, using overseas labor usually only pays off in scale.

I also seem to recall there would be an issue with E & O insurance not covering work performed outside of the U.S.

Stop taking on new clients until you're caught up and providing the level of service to your existing clients that they (should) expect & deserve.  This is one of those times to be glad that you have friendly competitors - you may reciprocate with them when they're in a bind.
