Tom Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 A takeover record keeper is asking for the Secure 1.0 amendment. It is not due until 12/31/2025 correct? I tend to doubt myself when institutions ask for things like this and imply that there should be one. We've been providing the Secure and Secure 2.0 good faith amendments for terminating plans only. Thank you Tom
Lou S. Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 They should ask for the amendment or the operational elections that were made, if any, if the Secure 1.0 amendment had not yet been done. And yes the amendment is not due until 12/31/2025. Paul I 1
Popular Post Belgarath Posted June 23, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 23, 2023 We just had a very obnoxious lawyer *(and no, I'm not lumping all lawyers together!) insist that the client had to immediately amend the plan for SECURE 2.0 RMD provisions. We politely told him to go pound sand. Lou S., Paul I, Below Ground and 3 others 6
