Does anyone have a plan in which the only compensation is commissions? How does the plan operate? What special considerations should be given to a plan that has irregular compensation because all compensation is based on commissions?

I have a plan that has many commissioned employees but also some salaried employees. For the commisioned employees, loans are my biggest issue as sometimes they do not make enough money in their paycheck to have a loan deduction. The payroll system does play catch up though and the next large paycheck will catch up any undeducted loan payments. Another consideration is that the employees flip flop between HCE & NHCE. Also, contributions are not guaranteed as deferrals come low on the totem pole of deductions after SS, medicare etc..if they have a small check, they don't have the advantage of deferring.
