Guidance on Paid Family Leave Laws, Part VI: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Paid Family Leave Developments

Seyfarth Shaw LLP

June 21, 2022
On-Demand
Webinar

Paid family leave and other paid time off developments continue to change at exceptional rates. Part 6 of the Seyfarth Paid Family Leave Webinar Series examines the state of paid family leave and paid family medical leave laws in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country as we near the middle of 2022. In particular, there have been recent, significant developments in the paid family medical leave space in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Topics that will be covered during the webinar include:

  • Connecticut - Developments since January 2022 when Connecticut paid family and medical leave (CT PFML) benefits became available to eligible employees and the significantly amended Connecticut Family and Medical Leave law (CT FMLA) went into effect. This includes updates on recent rulemaking and administrative guidance, such as a template written notice covering both CT PFML and CT FMLA.
  • Delaware - An overview of the new Delaware paid family and medical leave program that was enacted in May 2022.
  • Maryland - An overview of the new Maryland paid family and medical leave program that was enacted in April 2022.
  • Washington D.C. - Amendments to the Washington, D.C. paid family leave (DC PFL) program, as well as updates through recent rulemaking. Some affected topics include changes in the amount of DC PFL benefits available to employees and the employer tax rate for DC PFL contributions.
