Cross-tested plans are one of the more attractive plan designs. Changes made by SECURE Act 2.0 have made them even more attractive. Combining the cross-tested plan with a 401(k) plan (particularly a Safe Harbor 401(k) Plan) increases plan contributions and provides flexibility.
