SECURE 2.0 Deep Dive: Catch-up Contributions Get Complicated

Thompson Hine LLP

Mar. 29, 2023
On-Demand
Webinar

Join us for our new SECURE 2.0 webinar series featuring members of our Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation team. Now that organizations have an overview of SECURE 2.0’s numerous changes, it is time to focus on the multi-year implementation details. Our new series is designed to dynamically adapt each month to address the latest government guidance, burning questions and implementation challenges. In addition, we’ll share what we are hearing from clients, service providers, the government and other stakeholders while also providing our insights.

The first session in this series will focus on the changes to catch-up contributions that will take effect starting in 2024. The changes are already creating headaches for plan sponsors, payroll providers and plan recordkeepers, and generating questions like, “Did Congress accidentally eliminate all catch-up contributions?”; “Is our plan now required to offer Roth contributions?” and “How are we going to explain the changes to plan participants?” Join us to get answers to these questions and a list of steps to take in preparation for the implementation of the changes coming for catch-up contributions.
