Groom’s Viv Hunter Turner and Christy Tinnes will provide an update on recent developments in state and federal privacy and security regulations and enforcement for health plans and insurers. The webinar will provide a high-level overview of the privacy and security developments that health plans should have on their radars right now, including the FTC’s health breach notification Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, HHS’ HIPAA Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on reproductive health care, DOL’s cybersecurity guidance (which has been the subject to recent audit questions), FTC and HHS guidance on apps and tracking tools, security breach litigation, and where things stand on consumer state privacy laws and their applicability to employer health plans and insurance products (11 states and counting!). We will also discuss red flag issues health plans can watch out for and practical solutions health plans can implement. |
