Form 5500 Workshop

FIS Retirement Education

Mar. 19, 2024 - Mar. 20, 2024
On-Demand
Virtual Conference

The Form 5500 filing provides government regulators, plan participants, and the public with important information about a retirement plan's financial health, investment portfolio, compliance, and operations. The answers filed in this complex document can trigger regulator examinations, provide information that can be used to disrupt or improve existing service provider relationships, or details that participants and attorneys can use to make claims against the plan. The Form 5500 is submittted under penalties of perjury and incomplete or incorrect answers can be costly. This workshop will provide you with the tools necessary to understand the filling obligations associated with retirement and health and welfare plans, and how to satisfy them while minimizing the likelihood of unnecessary IRS or DOL correspondence.

Our Form 5500 Workshop is constantly changing to help you meet the new challenges based on legal, regulatory, and administrative changes. Of course, you will find answers to your Form 5500 and 8955-SSA questions, but we will also be taking a close look at:

  • Change to the Schedule SB, MB, and R
  • New Schedules DCG and MEP
  • Changes to Form 5558
  • Changes to the participant count methodology fo the small plan audit exemption.

Attendees can receive up to 400 total minutes or (8) ASPPA, (8) ERPA, and (8) NIPA continuing education credit hours.
