What You Need to Know Now About DOL’s Final Fiduciary Rule & Exemptions

Groom Law Group

May 1, 2024
On-Demand
Webinar

DOL recently released a final rule amending the definition of “investment advice” and amending important prohibited transaction exemptions (“PTEs”).  Parts of the new rules take effect on September 23, 2024, and may require substantial operational and compliance changes.

The webinar will cover –

  • The new definition of “investment advice”;
  • Changes to PTE 2020-02, which provides relief for certain transaction-based compensation;
  • Changes to PTE 84-24, which provides relief for certain annuity and insurance sales; and
  • DOL’s decision to limit the scope of a handful of other exemptions.
