Taking the Human out of Human Resources? Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on the Employment SettingThe Wagner Law Group P.C. |

May 14, 2024 On-Demand Webinar |

Artificial intelligence is significantly influencing the Human Resources (HR) landscape and having a profound impact on not only the workplace, but also the employment relationship. The use of AI and automation to perform tasks typically within the HR function is leading to a shift in the skills that employers and HR professionals need to work effectively with AI technology. However, traditional HR skills such as communication, empathy, and collaboration remain crucial as these are difficult to automate. The increased use of AI in HR also brings up concerns around privacy, discrimination, and accountability. HR departments need to establish clear policies and safeguards around data collection and algorithmic decision-making that impact employees. Transparency and two-way communication will be crucial in maintaining trust and well-being in the HR setting. Lifelong learning and adaptability are also essential as the nature of the employment setting is changing with the advancement and increased use of artificial intelligence. AI is not going away, and employers will need to adapt to these AI-driven changes through ongoing training, clear policies, and open communication within the HR department. The future of HR with AI requires both technological expertise and human compassion. Please join us on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 1:00pm (ET) for an informative 30-minute free webinar, during which Johanna Matloff will talk about how AI is used and its relevance in the employment setting. She will discuss some benefits and potential pitfalls to using AI as an HR tool. She will also share some suggestions that employers may consider adopting as AI continues to be incorporated into the HR function. |
