On-Demand
Webinar

Speaker: Stephen Forbes, J.D., LL.M., President Forbes, Retirement Plan Consulting

Description:

Day 1: The coverage and nondiscrimination requirements form the backbone of our private retirement plan system. There is an inextricable link between the two requirements. Although software facilitates the testing, to design and troubleshoot, you must develop the critical skill of understanding how these rules work. The answer to almost every design issue lies with being able to pass coverage. In day 1 of this two-part webcast, we will use case studies and examples to illustrate the coverage testing rules and answers to your important coverage questions.

Day 2: The regulations provide several options for demonstrating that a defined contribution plan is nondiscriminatory. Understanding the testing options and the mechanics of applying these different tests is key to designing plans and troubleshooting testing failures. In day 2 of this two-part webcast, we will use examples and case studies to explain how to apply the various testing options. Obtaining an understanding of the nondiscrimination rules, will provide you with the necessary skills to assist your clients. The webcast will provide you with the answers to your difficult questions.
