The coverage and nondiscrimination rules are the most critical requirements of our private retirement plan system. There is an inextricable link between the two requirements. Although software facilitates the testing to set up the tests, design a plan and troubleshoot failures, you must develop the critical skill of understanding how these rules work. To design a plan, particularly in a related employer situation, you must apply the coverage rules. In the first day of this two-part webcast, we will use case studies and examples to illustrate the coverage testing rules in different fact patterns, including related employer and merger/acquisition situations.
