Excerpt: Those who set goals for their retirement saving are more likely to consider themselves confident in their retirement planning, according to a customer survey conducted by American Express Retirement Services. The 2004 version of the Participant Satisfaction Survey, ..., found that participants who said they have calculated the amount of money they will need to retire were more likely to be 'very confident' that they are doing a good job[.]
