Compliance/5500/Plan document software vendors

We are considering a change in systems.  I would appreciate any feedback on the software options that other professionals use.  Our clients have standard DC plans: 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, 457 plans and also ESOPs.  Some of our ESOPs are very complicated. Please let me know about your experiences with your vendor.   How responsive are they about questions?  Also, what is the one thing you wish your vendor did better.

We are also considering Pension Pro.  I would appreciate feedback about your experience with PP and how well it works with each vendor's system.  Thanks for any comments.

Our firm generally has the same mix of plans as yours, although we are probably ESOP heavy.

We use ASC, because they have a very good "unitized" or share accounting built in their software.  I do wish they were a little more user friendly.

--------------

We have elected to use FT William for documents, 5500, 1099 processing.

We would consider changing to their compliance software but they have yet to add share accounting.

We do the same with ASC and FTWilliam.  We experience excellent support from both using emails... turn-around always within a day or less.

Have you looked at Pension Pal (an ASC product) instead of Pension Pro?  We really like Pension Pal!  We find that  it is really flexible & we've been able to customize it for our practice & it has really helped our efficiency.  The support has been great & we like that all the data resides on our server.

I appreciate all feedback.  BFlash, we looked into Pension Pal several years ago.  It didn't meet my firm's security requirements at the time, so we didn't move forward with it.  Perhaps we need to look into it again and see if something has changed. Thanks for the suggestion.
