Industry veteran adds market segment to align for impact

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (-- OneAmerica® Retirement Services (RS) President Sandy McCarthy today announced key personnel changes to further the company’s momentum in the health care sector and focus markets, helmed by a pair of 20-year industry veterans.

Robert Garrey joined OneAmerica as Market Segment Director for the Mid, Large and Tax-Exempt markets.

“In this new role, Garrey will build on McCarthy’s vision to identify mid, large, and not-for-profit markets we believe can prosper with OneAmerica,” said Steven Kofkoff, OneAmerica vice president, Retirement Services Strategy, Product Management and Innovation. “Garrey will work with key internal partners to define and manage our preferred offering in these segments, while identifying future capability needs and opportunities.”

Before coming to OneAmerica in mid-December, Garrey, of the Connecticut suburb of West Hartford, held leadership roles in Retirement Pricing & Profitability at Empower Retirement and at MassMutual. Prior to that, he held multiple roles at Voya Financial, including senior the leadership position of product management and sales support for the small and mid, for profit and ERISA not-for-profit markets.

Garrey will partner with Daryl Swick, a 21-year OneAmerica veteran recently promoted as Market Segment Director for Emerging, Small and TPA Markets. Generally, Swick oversees opportunities under $50 million, other than health care.
