When is CPA audit displayed on EFAST

Greetings,

A large plan filer filed their 5500 on Monday (10/17) and the CPA audit was attached. The audit attachment is still not showing up on the EFAST website 2 days later. Any idea how long it normally takes EFAST to include the audit as part of the filing you can see on the EFAST website?

The filing was done through the ftWilliam software.

A person called EFAST, and the answer was that it could take up to 20 days for attachments to show up online.  They are reviewing each attachment for confidential information, SSN's, etc.  If you get a "Filing_Received" status, you're good.

EDIT:  just checked a couple of filings.  Filed 10/13, audit is online.  Filed 10/17, audit not online yet.

I was not in panic mode but was starting to get concerned…

I just downloaded the 2021 filings of a takeover client, and their audit reports weren't there (filed 10-17). 

But in past years, I used to see a last page created in the downloaded PDF from the EFAST site, specifically indicating there were attachments under review before being released for public disclosure.  Didn't see those on the fresh downloads this year.  

(And I am pretty sure that if I do come back and re-download in a few weeks, the reviewed audit reports would be part of the PDF.)

Correct.  Attachments are reviewed to make sure PPI is not published for public viewing.

That person was me. 🙂 As a double-check, you log onto EFAST, go to Filing Summary --> Filing Submission --> 5500 Series Submissions. The attachments will be there, even if not yet available for public viewing.

The CPA audit is showing up on the EFAST website. Looks like it took about a week to show up.
