This collaboration enables self-funded health plans to access and analyze negotiated rates for medical procedures across payers—intended to empower smarter, more accountable healthcare spending. 

The data, delivered through Deerhold’s PRIZM^TM platform, goes beyond the raw payer machine-readable files required under the CMS Transparency in Coverage Final Rule — combining multiple ancillary data sets and proprietary enrichment methods to create an accurate and comprehensive view of negotiated healthcare rates. By incorporating this data into the Health Insights platform, Benefitfocus is helping plan sponsors gain deeper visibility into what they’re paying for care and how those costs compare to market averages.
