Benefitfocus Expands ICHRA Administration Capabilities with Integrated Data Exchange for Health Plans

Charleston, S.C. — Benefitfocus®, a Voya Financial business and established provider of benefits administration technology, today announced the expansion of its ICHRA Administration solution with integrated Data Exchange capabilities, broadening support for health plans offering Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs) at national scale. Benefitfocus provides the software for ICHRA administration only; administration services are provided through a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).

Delivered through Benefitplace ICHRA Data Exchange, the enhanced solution extends Benefitfocus’ carrier‑centric ICHRA administration platform with fully managed data exchange across third‑party ICHRA platforms and vendors. These expanded capabilities are designed to help health plans standardize and govern enrollment data, improve transparency, and reduce administrative effort.
