ESOP Guy Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Well the new 415 limits might influence which party will win!!!!
Lou S. Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 I think Trump fired everybody and there is no one left to publish them.

Dave Baker Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 What the heck is a soda? They're not sold here in the South, I 'spose.
Belgarath Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 It has always amused me - I've heard them referred to as soda, tonic, pop, cola, fizz, and probably other things I can't recall. Kind of like grinders, subs, and hoagies...

Belgarath Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 Is a hero just a form of a Greek Gyro, or is it a type of sandwich not in a pita/pocket type of bread? I've never known, as up here, we have subs or grinders, or a gyro in a Greek place, but no hero sandwiches.

Turned out it was a hero sandwich, which is also a sub sandwich. Luckily, a gyro is a gyro is a gyro (but not a rose!). Lawrence C. austin3515 Posted November 2, 2018 Author Posted November 2, 2018 I think forever now I am going to be asking "Where are the sodas for next year?" I like that a lot... I have a sneaking suspicion the Secretary of the Treasury reads these boards (because why wouldn't they after all (isn't that the new standard for truth?)) and picked up the phone and made this happen. A lot of people are saying that's what happened. Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA
Tom Poje Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 next some of you folks will insist on changing the term to 'catsup' limit instead of 'ketchup' limit. .............. I did at least correct the calculation in my spreadsheet for SIMPLE plans, which since I have never worked on such a plan I never cared about. oh well.

I always called it a sub sammich. :)

A hero is a hot meat sammich on a sub bun, usually with lots of toppings of the kind one might find on a philly cheese steak sammich - but the meat is more likely a hamburger patty (or three) or meat balls, etc. If you are ever in NE Ohio, look up a Mr. Hero restaurant. Definitely not a Subway.... Karoline Curran 1

ESOP Guy Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 I have been a Midwestern boy all my life and a grinder to me has always been served in "fast Italian" places. it is a meat (most common ordered is meatball or Italian sausage) on good Italian bread with a marinara sauce and cheese all baked together. The bread gets crusty and a little hard on the outside but is still soft on the inside. The best ones I got were in the Chicago area. I don't know if it is still there but there used to be this place in Hoffman Estates, IL called Garibaldi's. My wife would get the Italian beef or turkey sandwich and I got their meatball grinder. You would wash it down with their frozen Italian lemonade. That was a meal for a young couple on a budget back in the day!
