Purplemandinga Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 A Safe Harbor 3% nonelective plan decides to make a matching contribution to the plan in addition to the 3% SHNE. This matching contribution is 100% of deferrals contributed up to 6% of compensation. Is the ACP test required for the entire matching amount or just the amount greater than 4%?
Purplemandinga Posted April 23, 2019 Author Posted April 23, 2019 I'm thinking § 1.401(m)-2(a)(5)(iv) says I can exclude amounts not in excess of 4% of compensation from ACP testing.
