Employees Taking Antidepressants and Other Psychiatric Drugs Often Don't Receive Help They Need
Human Resource Executive
May 1, 2009
Excerpt: Antidepressants were prescribed by a specialist just 36 percent of the time, while the remaining 64 percent were prescribed by primary-care offices, hospitals, outpatient programs or surgical offices, according to an August 2006 study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, the most recent data available.
