Excerpt: Under the regulations, group health plans must provide notices of an adverse benefit determination and of available internal claims and appeals procedures and external review processes in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner, including in a non-English language if 25 percent of all participants are literate in the same non-English language (for plans with 100 or more participants, if the lesser of 500 participants or 10 percent of all participants are literate in the same non-English language).
