"[This advisory summarizes] the cases and the issues that sponsors of employee benefit plans should be considering now in preparation for the [Supreme Court] decision. If the Court determines that ... Proposition 8 (Prop 8) and Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), are constitutional, very little would change for employee benefit plans.
