"Senator Orrin Hatch outlined the public pension crisis in this country in a report last year putting the debt at $4.4 trillion and yesterday on the Senate floor ... [It] seems to have completely escaped him that his SAFE solution of allowing insurance companies to annuitize promised benefits is a non-starter once you get outside of an insurance company boardroom."
