D.C. Commuter Benefits Are Almost Here: Employers Must Comply by January 1
Ogletree Deakins
[Guidance Overview] Nov. 3, 2015
"Employers with 20 or more employees working in the District of Columbia have fewer than 90 days left to comply with the new law requiring them to offer commuter benefits to employees by January 1, 2016. All employees, both full-time and part-time, count for purposes of determining whether an employer must comply with the D.C. ordinance. The ordinance covers all employers -- public, private, and nonprofit -- with the minimum number of employees."
