"There are five main types of patient protections under the ACA and the new CAA 'No Surprises Act' structure: [1] Primary care provider, OB/GYN, and pediatrician designation (originally in the ACA); [2] Emergency services coverage (originally in the ACA); [3] Preventing surprise medical bills (added by the CAA); [4] Ending surprise air ambulance bills (added by the CAA); and [5] Continuity of care (added by the CAA)."
