The Unaffordability of Healthcare Reform
"According to [Kathryn Bakich of The Segal Company], rising costs also will threaten employer plans due to the looming cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, which cause lower provider revenues that will 'trickle down' to employers."

Measuring the Affordability of Employer Health Coverage
"Job-based coverage is considered unaffordable if the amount of the out-of-pocket premium for the employer coverage exceeds 9.5% of that person's income. While it's clear how this applies to a single worker without any dependents, determining a family's eligibility for premium tax credits is far less clear in the law."

HHS's 2012 Part D Premium Amounts
"Using bids received from Medicare prescription drug plans, HHS estimates the national average premium for a Part D plan will be about $30 per month in 2012—the same as in 2011. HHS has set the 2012 'base beneficiary' Part D premium at $31.08 per month. This figure is used as a starting point for Part D plans when they determine their actual premium rates. Actual 2012 Part D premiums should be available in September."

What Wal-Mart v. Dukes Means for Employers (PDF)
"Many implications from this case seem to apply more to employment attorneys than employers. The most important takeaway for employers may be that discretion in decision-making at the local level can help prevent large class actions like Dukes."
