New Employee Health Trends Data

March 4, 2020 -- Employers are becoming increasingly aware of mental health issues and the impact it can have on people’s lives and work, especially as employee mental health costs are nearly twice that of employees without a mental health condition, according to Springbuk’s Employee Health Trends 2020 report.

Other insights from the report, based on health intelligence data from over 2,500 organizations, include:

• 1 in 5 members have at least one diagnosed mental health condition
• The average cost per member per month for mental health is $847, compared with $417 for employees without a mental health issue
• More than half of all members have at least one chronic health condition
• 69% of all members with a mental health issue also have a chronic health condition
