Bolton Chief Actuary, Ellen Kleinstuber, to Serve as President-Elect of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries

We are pleased to announce that Bolton’s Chief Actuary, Ellen Kleinstuber, will be serving as President-Elect of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (CCA) in 2020-2021. The Conference of Consulting Actuaries is a professional society of actuaries spanning multiple countries focused on advancing the knowledge of actuarial science, promoting and maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards, facilitating the exchange of best practices among its members, and developing the skills and capabilities of its members. CCA’s membership includes approximately 1,500 actuaries in the fields of pension, health, life, casualty and investment whose aspirations and experiences range from established leaders, to subject matter experts, to those growing their career in actuarial sciences.

As a values-driven organization, Bolton is particularly proud that our Chief Actuary will serve as president of an organization that plays a critical role in advancing the professional standards of Integrity, Technical Expertise and Innovation among actuaries at large which are aligned with Bolton’s own core values. Ms. Kleinstuber, who joined Bolton in 2017, previously served on the Board of Directors of CCA from 2012-2018 as a member of the Executive Committee. She will also serve as a member of the Council of U.S. Presidents and North American Actuarial Council for both years, along with the Presidents & President-Elects of the other U.S. and North American Actuarial organizations. To add to our pride, this is the first time in CCA history that women hold both Presidential leadership roles and that all five President-Elect positions for 2020-2021 in the U.S. actuarial organizations are held by women.

In her roles Ms. Kleinstuber will interact regularly with other leaders within the actuarial profession in the U.S. and internationally, further broadening her perspective on issues of importance to the employee benefits community and other related fields, as well as crafting the long-term strategic goals for the CCA. Bolton and it’s clients will benefit tremendously from the experience and leadership opportunity of her appointment.
