Press Release TRI-AD’s Benefits on the Go App Helps Participants Maximize Healthcare Dollars |
Issued by TRI-AD Dec. 8, 2020 |
Today’s healthcare consumers are increasingly seeking tools to help them shop for care more wisely. Employee Benefit News recently highlighted this issue, calling for employers to invest in benefits that make it easier for employees to see what they’ll pay for different providers and/or procedures. TRI-AD’s reimbursement plans mobile app, Benefits on the Go, is one such tool that delivers insights to consumers. Real-time cost and care information helps users find providers in their geographic area for specific procedures. For example, enter your insurance plan and zip code and the app will search for the cost of an echocardiogram within 10 miles. By answering a few questions, mobile app users will see quality ratings and an average cost for the top 100 procedures in their region. Additionally, the app uses predictive analytics to display the costs and estimated lifetime expenditure for treating the 20 most common chronic conditions. If a user enters their zip code and prescription details, the app will display how much the prescription costs at nearby pharmacies. Guidance and results will be more personalized with user-provided information regarding their location, prescriptions, and health insurance. These features help consumers choose a doctor, find cheaper pharmacy solutions based on location, see generic drug recommendations when applicable for additional savings, and more. Benefits on the Go has additional self-service capabilities that allow consumers to:
The Benefits on the Go app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. |
