Press Release Veteran Sales Leader Joins OneAmerica® as Employee Benefits Regional VP |
Issued by OneAmerica Dec. 16, 2020 |
Group insurance advocate and Maine native brings growth-minded focus, team approach INDIANAPOLIS (December 16, 2020) — Mary Beth Carion has joined the executive leadership team of Employee Benefits at OneAmerica® as regional vice president, sales and service, focusing on leading a team that engages with brokers and employers in the southern half of the United States. Carion will lead sales teams and account managers in key offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; Louisville, Kentucky; Nashville, Tennessee; and Texas. “Mary Beth is a perfect fit at a perfect time for OneAmerica as we expand our employee benefits footprint nationally in key markets,” said Steven Lynch, national vice president of sales and service, Employee Benefits at OneAmerica. “She’ll lead sales in key areas where we’ve had success and where our message about the importance of having affordable paycheck protection really resonates.” Carion got her start in the insurance side of financial services three decades ago as a group sales representative. Since then she has held influential positions within major account relationship management, account management, field operations, sales and marketing. She prides herself on developing strong relationships with customers and internal partners, building teams, and driving growth for organizations. “I am motivated to continue our broker-centric focus while helping policyholders at the employer and employee level better understand the importance of worksite-based insurance,” she said. “Disability and life insurance are affordable ways to provide financial protection workers need for themselves and their families – they’re there when life throws curveballs, when people need that financial support.” Most recently, Carion spent nine years in senior leadership roles with Lincoln Financial Group, where she was responsible for customer relationships, sales, sales operations, account management and small business teams. Carion is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross in the Boston suburb of Worcester, Massachusetts. A New England native, Carion is based in Maine, not far from the OneAmerica Portland disability claims contact center. She is the second executive from the Pine Tree state in as many months to join OneAmerica, following Christine “Chris” Coburn, vice president of underwriting. |
