The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries presented ERISA attorney and long-time ASPPA member John Griffin the 2021 Educator’s Award during the Oct. 17 opening session of the 2021 ASPPA Annual Conference in National Harbor, MD. Griffin has spoken at ASPPA events for nearly 40 years, teaching thousands of retirement plan professionals. He has become known for his patient, easy-to-understand and thorough style of teaching. He has been a frequent speaker and educator, providing webcasts, live seminars, newsletters and on-site teaching. In addition, Griffin has been very involved with ASPPA, serving on the Government Affairs Committee—most often representing plan document issues. The Educator’s Award was established in 1997 to recognize and honor outstanding educators. It is awarded to an ASPPA member who has made a significant contribution to retirement plan education. |
