WTW’s Rx Collaborative Adds Capital Rx As New PBM Partner

ARLINGTON, VA – WTW (NASDAQ: WTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced that its Rx Collaborative (RxC) is adding a fourth pharmacy benefit management (PBM) partner, Capital Rx. RxC is the first group purchasing coalition to partner with Capital Rx and will allow members the option of a PBM that offers an innovative approach to the traditional pricing model.

The addition of Capital Rx will add choice for WTW clients that are looking to understand disruptors or would like the option to carve-out specialty or select drug categories from the PBM to a separate provider. Capital Rx will offer increased flexibility in carving out specialty therapy classes (e.g., fertility, hemophilia) and offer additional unique attributes. A point of differentiation is their use of an alternative pricing model based on the National Average Drug Acquisition Cost (NADAC), married with its Clearinghouse Model, which brings undistorted visibility into actual drug unit costs and eliminates arbitrary price variability. In addition, their proprietary enterprise pharmacy platform JUDI™ will meet the advanced reporting and quick plan design update expectations of employers.
