Pioneering opportunity for Kara Kidney, new Retirement Services West Division VP

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 29, 2022) —An experienced sales and business development financial professional has been promoted to fill a critical leadership position while contributing to the acceleration of the company’s latest phase of growth.

Kara Kidney, a 13-year veteran of OneAmerica® currently based in the Los Angeles area, will start as West Division Regional Vice President officially April 10.

“The significance of Kara being elevated to serving a key management role is impactful on several fronts,” said Mike Domingos, head of distribution for Retirement Services (RS) sales, business development and sales support teams across all market segments. “She has a proven track record of developing and maintaining critical relationships within OneAmerica as well as externally with retirement plan advisors, TPAs, and national accounts through her time in business development.”

Pete Schroedle, vice president of sales for Core Market, who hired Kidney and also oversees the regional sales management team, said: “With Kara, financial professionals now have an additional resource in a leadership role who can align OneAmerica capabilities to advisors’ and sponsors’ specific needs.”

Kidney cited her total 19 years’ experience in the financial services and retirement industry for allowing her to grow and develop her skills. She also credited influential committee roles with We Inspire. Promote. Network (WIPN), an advocacy organization for female retirement professionals interested in growing their careers.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity and looking forward to being part of the OneAmerica leadership team,” Kidney said.

Kidney entered the business in 2003 and joined OneAmerica in 2009 in an internal sales role. By 2012 she was promoted to a regional sales director (RSD). She has been a key member of the business development team since 2016.
