|
Issued by Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association [DCIIA] June 28, 2022 |
|
We are pleased to announce that James Watt, Ph.D. has joined the DCIIA Retirement Research Center (RRC) as vice president of advanced analytics. In this role, he will work with the RRC members and staff on research strategy, analysis, and interpretation. Watt has been working with the RRC as a consultant since 2020; this formalizes an ongoing role. His depth of experience and areas of expertise are a strong complement to those of other RRC staff and enhance the RRC’s capabilities in numerous areas. Watt is professor emeritus of communication science at the University of Connecticut and is a research consultant to financial services, high technology, and nonprofit organizations. He is the author of two books, Research Methods for Communication Science and Dynamic Patterns in Communication Processes, and more than 50 peer-reviewed and invited articles, book chapters, and published conference proceedings. Watt holds a U.S. patent for a web-based collaborative work system. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Department of Education and private foundations and corporations.
