Alera Group Retirement Plan Services Adds Large-Plan Focus

Part of larger strategic effort to build comprehensive solutions across the plan spectrum

Deerfield, IL  -- Alera Group, a top independent national insurance and financial services firm, announced today the addition of Bryan Hissong as Senior Retirement Plan Consultant. The firm’s Retirement Plan Services division is extending its reach with a focus on large-company retirement plans. Hissong’s role, which is national in scope, is a key element of that strategic expansion. Hissong will report to Christian Mango, National Practice Leader, Retirement Plan Services.

“Bryan’s background in both record keeping and retirement plan sales—and his specific experience developing pension de-risking strategies and building and developing large market sales teams—will help us build out a large-market presence,” said Mango.

Hissong brings more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, with an emphasis on large-market defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans and non-qualified plans. Hissong comes to Alera Group from Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Previously he held roles with Transamerica, Lockton, Prudential and Lincoln. Hissong is a graduate of Kansas State University.
