NEW YORK - Cohen & Buckmann, P.C. is pleased to announce that Gretchen Harders has joined Cohen & Buckmann as a Partner, expanding the Firm’s experienced legal team in the area of employee benefits, qualified plans and executive compensation. “We are very fortunate to have someone with Gretchen’s credentials, depth of experience, and years of practice in ERISA, executive compensation, and employee benefit matters” said Sandra Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner of Cohen & Buckmann. “She’s one of the rare benefits lawyers who has top-level legal skills across so many different aspects of our practice. We are thrilled to have her on board on behalf of our clients.” “Gretchen is widely recognized as a leader in the employee benefits field. We are excited to have her join our expanding pension and employee benefits practice group,” added Founding Partner, Carol Buckmann. Gretchen is known for tackling complex tax and executive compensation issues and for her naturally kind demeanor, building immediate rapport and trust with every client. She brings 26 years of ERISA law experience, helping employers comply with retirement plan rules, and correcting pension plan qualification and fiduciary issues through the IRS and Department of Labor correction programs, as well as partnership compensation, equity plans and C-suite employment contracts. “I am thrilled and honored to join Cohen & Buckmann and its distinguished Employee Benefits practice,” said Gretchen. “I look forward to supporting clients across several practice areas, especially in supporting other corporate law firms with all their benefit and compensation needs.” Prior to joining Cohen & Buckmann, Gretchen was a shareholder of the firm, Epstein Becker & Green. Gretchen earned her B.A. from University of Chicago, and her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
