Chicago — The National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) is pleased to announce the 2024-2025 officers for their 2024-2025 Board of Directors. Ilene Ferenczy, APA, CPC, Esq., will serve as the president of NIPA’s Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. A nationally known thought leader in the qualified retirement plan arena, Ferenczy is the managing partner of Ferenczy Benefits Law Center. She is well versed in the practical challenges faced by employers and fiduciaries, third-party administrators (TPAs) and investment advisors and managers in the retirement plan realm. As an attorney, Ferenczy also advocates to the DOL and IRS on behalf of plans and their sponsors. Karyn Dzurisin, QKA, QPA, will serve as the president-elect for the NIPA Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. She is a TPA retirement plan counselor lead at Capital Group, home of American Funds. She has 33 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 12 years. Prior to joining Capital, Dzurisin was a sales manager at Baden Retirement Plan Services. Before that, she worked in administration and consulting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University. Dzurisin is based in Indianapolis, Ind. Shayna Osborne, APA, APR, ERPA, will serve as the immediate past president for the NIPA Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. Osborne is the president at Osborne Associates in Modesto, Cali. and has more than 35 years of experience, specializing in profit sharing, pension, 401(k), cash balance, and defined benefit/defined contribution combo plans. Her ERPA accreditation, which is approved by the Internal Revenue Service, allows her to practice before the IRS regarding retirement plan issues. Heather Windjue will serve as the chief financial officer for the NIPA Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. She is an assistant vice president, third-party administration and customer care at Principal® Financial Group. Windjue’s career in the retirement plan industry spans over two decades, during which she has demonstrated exemplary leadership and understanding of the industry. She has spent her career overseeing and managing service and operations teams for several large recordkeepers as well as a large TPA firm. She promotes teamwork and empowering team members to excel is her passion. Beyond her professional endeavors, Windjue is known for her commitment to foster community through Habitat for Humanity and volunteerism. Spending time with family is also a mainstay in her life, including boating, golfing, skiing and traveling. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Saint Benedict and is based in Minnesota. Andy Lovell, MBA, ERPA, APA, APR, QKA, QPA, TGPC, will serve as the executive member at large for the NIPA Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. Lovell is the vice president of FuturePlan Initiatives at FuturePlan by Ascensus. He brings more than 18 years of vast TPA experience to the NIPA board with a strong passion for growing and developing the TPA industry. Throughout his career, he has formed a strong understanding of the challenges facing both small and large TPAs, as well as the advisor and recordkeeper industries, and looks forward to driving NIPA to be a key resource in facing those challenges. Lovell holds a bachelor's degree in business management, a master's degree in business administration, and currently resides in Spanish Fork, Utah. “The NIPA Board of Directors remains committed to impacting the retirement plan industry for the better,” said Laura J.
