Blank Rome Welcomes Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate Stephen M. Pennartz in Philadelphia

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen M. Pennartz has joined the firm’s Philadelphia office as an associate in the Tax, Benefits, and Private Client group, which recently welcomed Trusts & Estates of counsel Andrew M. Nerney. Stephen joins Blank Rome from Holland & Knight LLP.

Stephen concentrates his practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters. He handles retirement and welfare benefit plans; equity compensation arrangements, long-term incentive arrangements, and transaction bonus arrangements; and employment agreements. 

Stephen also provides guidance on compliance with Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”) and Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”) section 409A, as well as the creation of employee stock ownership plans (“ESOPs”). He has extensive experience advising employers and executives on employee benefits and executive compensation aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Stephen received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from George Washington University. Stephen is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
